Why we started ToyBloom
Modern toy stores are filled with plastic, flashing lights, and loud batteries that entertain a child passively rather than engaging them actively. Maria Montessori observed over a century ago that children thrive when given simple, beautiful, physical materials that isolate specific skills and allow independent mastery.
As Australian parents ourselves, we found it frustratingly difficult to find clear, honest guidance on which toys actually align with Montessori principles and where to buy them locally. ToyBloom was created to solve that problem — providing clean, fluff-free buying guides for every developmental window from 6 months through age 4.
